Technology is ruining my business!
Time is money, right? When it comes to any small business, time = money. So if you lose time, you are losing money. According to Intel did you know that employees cost some of the worlds large companies over $1 Billion dollars in ONE year. Yes, one year. The loss is due the lost time from employees checking email, chatting with Instant Messages, and text messaging. The average worker loses about 2.1 hours per day to interruptions such as these, according to Basex.
You may need to get control of this somehow. Do you monitor your employees? Will that make them lose trust in you if you watch there every move. Do you create a “no chat” policy? How do you enforce that? Email is growing at an alarming rate!! And it is not showing ANY signs of stopping. Can your small business afford to lose two hours a day from every employee?
